Dear friends and comrades,
The Convention/General Body of the All India Association is to be held at Hyderabad on 23rd and 24th of October 2021. CLICK HERE for the notice for the Convention. All our units from across the country are expected to participate. All members are requested to send their feed back on what next is to be done in respect of achieving our demands, what every member is prepared to do, etc, through appropriate resolutions in their respective units and send them through their Unit Office Bearers and delegates attending the above conference.
The few more units which have not yet joined us are welcome to join our Association during the Convention. Let us remember that even the small number keeping away from the Association is used as an excuse by the administration to give an impression that the cadre is divided.
All those who know the events of the past 4 1/2 years know that we have submitted the DDO certificates, more than even that is mandatorily required, not once, but twice, for renewal of recognition. But, the very first time we submitted in 2018, the CBIC started toying with the idea of withdrawing recognition, on the grounds that there is a dispute regarding who is the real 'owner' for the name of this Association.
Even after they themselves came to a conclusion that the so called rival claimant was ineligible to be even a member, let alone an SG of this Association, consequent to his promotion, they still continued with the theory of two claims. Then in 2020 they withdrew the recognition requiring both to come under two different names and submit DDOs in such new names.
The so called rival has neither changed name nor submitted any documents. We on the other hand have changed name, adopted a new Constitution CLICK HERE FOR OUR NEW CONSTITUTION and submitted DDO Certificates evidencing 41% membership where only 35% is required mandatorily. Even after we have submitted these documents in June 2021 (our Unit Office bearers have taken a lot of risk for this during the pandemic) till date, the CBIC does not want to settle the issue.
Reason is obvious.
The hand full of units who are still not in the mainstream should ponder over this attitude of the administration and understand how inimical it is to our cadre interests.
We hope that these units will definitely act accordingly.
with fraternal greetings,
R. Manimohan,
Secretary General
