Now the neutral units have to decide
Dear friends,
As we stated in earlier blog, though we offered before the Member (Admn) that we are prepared to give a felicitation to Mr. Ravi Malik if they attend our Convention at Kolkata, Mr. Venkatesh said that ACs will be members. We have not been able to accept that plea. Our units are clear on that. Many neutral units also.
When Shri. Somanath of Hyderabad contacted me after that, I said that I could go to Hyderabad on 28th (Sunday) after the GB of Chennai Unit on 27th which I had already agreed to attend.
However, I made it specific that there was no point in having any private talk with Mr. Ravi Malik and/or Mr. Venkatesh because it is not a private property dispute between us and I would face the members of Hyderabad before whom they also can give any clarifications. I was prepared to answer them and the members of Hyderabad in an open meeting.
This has obviously not been to the taste of the other side. That is the reason they have chosen to put the blame on us and go for a meeting at Jodhpur.
The time has come for the neutral units to take a firm call.
Wishing them and the cadre all the very best.
fraternally yours,
R. Manimohan

WELCOME BIHAR-JHARKHAND
Dear friends and comrades,
It is an extremely happy occasion for us to welcome into our fold, the Bihar-Jharkhand unit which had its elections and have elected a new body.
The newly elected President is Sh. Rajeev Tripathi and General Secretary is Sh. Abhishek Kamal.
They had their General Body Meeting today at Patna. The GB has decided to join us and attend the Convention to be held at Kolkotta.
The photo of the new office bearers and message of Com. Abhishek are given below.
With the coming of Com. Abhishek, we have now 5 former Secretary Generals of AICEIA in our team. The President of the unit is also a great organiser.
Welcome Bihar-Jharkhand.
fraternally yours,
R. Manimohan

Meeting with Member Admn on 12.07.2019
A
meeting had been called for by the Board with both factions of AIACEGEO with Member (A) in his cabin today (12.07.2019).
Our delegation
consisting of Coms. Manimohan, Shishir, Kousik, Jithendra, Malkit & Kundu attended the meeting.
We
have made a representation to the Member that we have submitted the
declarations of support of 24 out of 42 units and many units in UP and Gujarat
are non functional. We also showed that
we have submitted 5317 DDOs and when the Board vide its letter dated 12.2.19
has already clarified that ACs cannot be members of our Association there was
not necessity to ask us to patch up with an entity formed by an AC, with ACs,
after his promotion as AC.
Mr.
Ravi Malik and friends stated that the constitution was amended, that they had
intimated the same and therefore they were the legal entity.
We
said that the so called amendment to the constitution had not been passed as
claimed by them and the majority support shown by us will itself testify to
that fact. We also stated that if the
Board wants to assess the membership supporting us, we were prepared to change
our name and produce the DDOs in the new name and we were also prepared to
withdraw our claim if the other side was prepared to take the challenge and
change their name and get 35% membership in their new name. Mr. Ravi malik responded by saying, ‘let them
be strong, but we are only legal’.
Mr.
Venkatesh and Mr. C.S. Sharma who had also accompanied Mr. Ravi stated that
unification should be achieved by a joint convention and that Mr. Ravi will not
contest as SG. They repeatedly requested
the Member to intervene to make such a joint convention possible. Member did not get into the issue.
We
however stated that a joint convention would be possible only if the other side
was ready to accept that only elected Office bearers of Units can participate
and that ACs will not be members of the Association. Mr. Venkatesh rejected it saying that ACs
will continue as members. We said that
our units were not prepared to accept that condition.
The
Member patiently heard all arguments put forth by both sides, perused the
documents produced before him and
promised to consider the issue from all possible angles in the interest of the
cadre of Superintendents.
