ReplyDeleteWell-crafted letter. The DOPT and the Finance Ministry should be categorically informed that post-GST, the gubernatorial posts of Commissioners, Principal Commissioners, Chief Commissioners and useless directorates created just to park these redundant Commissioners should abolished.Posts in the grade of Assistant/Deputy Commissioners must be created as a functional necessity, as most of the functions under GST are saddled on these officers.By this the Ministry can be shown substantial savings in costs to the Department and thus make an articulate and persuasive argument.
