Energetic demonstration by Superintendents on 31.10.2018

Dear friends and comrades,
It was a grand demonstration all over India yesterday, wherever the units are with us.
Actually this demonstration had to be announced due to pressure from the members in the field.
Even before the first person could step out for the demonstration, the Board had issued a memorandum warning against attending such a demonstration.
The copy of the memorandum issued by the Board and some of the photos from various centers is given above.
But, strangely, the memorandum regarding our Association programme, after specifically mentioning us, had been addressed to all constituents of the COC.
The Board, not wanting to perhaps give us recognition by addressing the memorandum to us, had thereby given recognition to our Association, its call and also the COC.
There started our success.

There were unprecedented efforts in some parts of the country to dissuade, threaten and hinder our members from participating in the demonstrations.
Yet, defying all odds, members showed their strength.
The sister organisations had also given their moral support.
This is only the first step.
That the Board also knows.

That the cadre is becoming restive is signaled by this spontaneous upsurge.  It was at a very short notice and no mobilisation whatsoever had to be undertaken by the office bearers.
In many places members were heard saying that they had been waiting for this sort of a movement for a long time.
After 30.06.2018, the Board has gone into a deep slumber.
Even the name sake meetings, where at least our points used to be heard and noted down has stopped.
It is an unwritten policy perhaps that no appointments are given to the Associations.
The reasons we all know.

In spite of that, we have repeatedly requested the Board to call the Associations for discussions on pressing issues and try to settle them.
Emptily the Memorandum states that the issues are being addressed.
The proof of the pudding is in eating and that is yet to happen.

Already there are demands from members to go in for the next course of agitations.
The AIEC will take a call on the next step.
