Dear
friends and comrades in Kolkata,
The 13th Convention of the
AIACEGEO is to be held at your place on 10th and 11th of
August 2019. We are proud to be there - the soil that has produced so many illustrious souls - spiritual, political, literary and scientific.
I am sure you are all aware that the present Convention is an important milestone in the history of our Association.
Some of you (though few in number) obviously
have some difference of opinion – reasons though might be multiple or
different. I have come there and
addressed at least two meetings after I was elected SG of this Association
at the Chennai Convention. In both the
meetings there was massive participation.
The records of the election also prove that an overwhelming majority of
the Superintendents have participated and elected the current set of Office
Bearers lead by Com. Prabhir and Com. Kousik.
Com. Pyne who is an esteemed leader of the entire cadre at an All India
level is also in that committee.
Yet, some of you have been conducting a campaign
against the above committee elected by the majority. It does not do any good for the cadre or the
democratic spirit for which Kolkata is well known for.
Though Com. Pyne lost the election against Mr.
Ravi Malik in 2014 for the post of SG, he never left the Association. In fact he has continued to contribute to its
functioning. I remember that at the
Kolkata AIEC, he was requested to be a member of the GST Committee of the
Association and he had made valuable contribution for the said cause. In fact, even earlier he had been continuously requesting
to take implications of the GST implementation seriously. But the then SG and his friends did not feel
the heat until the DR IRS Association enlightened them. That is the spirit with which Com. Pyne, the
long time Association man has conducted himself. Hence, I sincerely request that all those who
have differences, should try to emulate the example of Com. Pyne.
Any of your differences could be aired within the
forums. There is no cause for division.
There is a campaign going on that the majority is
the divisive force. There could be
nothing farther from truth than that.
You all know that as well.
Hence, when delegates from all parts of the country are to gather
at Kolkata, it is my sincere plea to all of you to be there so that you can see the reality for yourself.
There is another campaign going on that the
Inspector Association was divided and that was also done at Kolkata. Probably those who believe it do not have a
firsthand information as to what happened in 2003. The Association had almost become defunct; the
SG could not be contacted by his own President nor by his colleagues in his own
place and hence, as per the consensus among the units, the Convention which was already delayed was
convened by the President. The
Association was thus resurrected and rejuvenated. Com. Pyne,
Com. Kousik and a host of other Comrades from Kolkata took the responsibility
of hosting that historic Convention. The
present day AICEIA would not have been there, but for that Convention. Those who say that it was a split, have to
ask themselves, ‘then where is the other
one’.
Hence, once again I request all our friends and
Colleagues of the Kolkata Unit to make the 13th Convention on their
soil a memorable event with their active participation and co-operation. The cadre will salute you for this.
fraternally yours,
R. Manimohan,
Secretary General,
AIACEGEO

ReplyDeleteThis shud be the motto of each Supdt because every association whether Supdt or Inspector is a big failure. They failed to break the armour of ruthless board but every time come up with edgeless idea.
Evident in pay matters
MACP case of 6600
5400 after 4 years
5400 in PB3
Fixation of pay in 7450 at time of promotion
List is long
Failed to get implemented Parmar decision other seniority matters
It is better to fight for ones own cause instead of looking up either factions.
Can they place a list of their achievements on public domain😂 a big zero except writing a letter to board.
But for our efforts, we may not have got the SLP in Subramaniam case dismissed even today. We laid strong foundation for the coming CR. 'Darkness leads towards light, but blindness towards death' said Tagore.
