Dear friends and comrades,
The case for parity in pay scales with effect from 1.1.96 on the basis of materials gathered through RTI had been filed before the Hon'ble CAT, Mumbai by the AICEIA.
The then SG of AICEIA Shri. Kousik Roy had authorised the then JS of that Association Shri. Sanjay Srinivasan (our present President) to file the case and pursue it.
The proceedings in the case had got halted after the CBDT filed an appeal in the Mumbai HC against the CAT order favouring the ITGOA on the same issue.
For the past two years we have been in touch with the ITGOA to get the HC matter heard. It was taking time. Now the CAT case filed by AICEIA has been taken up for hearing. Fresh vakkalats have been filed due to change of Office Bearers in AICEIA. Due to the Counsel engaged by the Association being appointed as Govt Counsel, a new Counsel had to be engaged. That has been done. Shri. Sanjay Srinivasan and team have briefed the new Counsel.
The matter came up for hearing on 08.04.2019. Fresh vakkalat from the individual in the case who had since retired, was also obtained and submitted on that date.
Matter is posted for next hearing on 26.06.2019.
We will post you on subsequent developments.

It seems CBDT filed appeal against the CAT Order favouring ITGOA in 2012 vide WP No. 9649/2012.
ReplyDeleteIt is quite mysterious that the said case is still pending at pre-admission stage even after almost 7 years.
Can ITGOA be requested to file misc. application for early hearing & disposal of the case?
Why association was silent all those years
ReplyDeleteThis association have woken up after GST as everybody knows the reasons behind
ReplyDeleteNo clear goals.
ReplyDeleteCadre is in hopeless condition.
If some thing can not be done at the board office nothing will result.
Friends good evening . For everyone's knowledge please note that Association neither was nor is sleeping but as we all know that administration at highest level is in slumber sleep as the matter is concerning welfare of Inspectors and Superintendents. Since the matter is pending in the Mumbai High Court Mumbai CAT kept on waiting for the High Court Order in the case of ITGOA. We must note that matter was taken for final hearing by CAT but because of change in Office Bearers of AICEIA , Freash vakaltnama are required to be filed by the present ofgice bearers of AICEIA. I think it has been done by Sh. Sanjay Srinivas as he was the guiding force to file this case in Mumbai CAT. My only request is that we should ask the office bearers who are looking after this case , that whether we need more funds for engaging the best possible counsels for arguing our case.
