Historic development at a historic place

Dear friends and Comrades,

The 7th of October 2018 is a historic date in respect of the Inspector Born cadres of the CBIC.

Over looking the Gandhi Maidan from where the Quit India Movement was launched in Bihar and where today stands the tallest bronze statue of Mahatma Gandhi, and the Ganges flowing behind the maidan, on the 7th floor of Hotel Panache at Patna (the ancient Pataliputra), three of the All India Associations of Inspector Born cadres came together on 7th October, 2018 and formed the National Federation of CGST Officers.

Excellent arrangements for the meeting were made by the former SG of AICEIA, Sh. Abishek Kamal and Sh. Sanjay Kumar, Supdt, Patna.

74 delegates from all over India, representing all the three Associations participated.

The first National Federation Council was formed consisting of the following members:

Sh. Biju Paul, Sh. Anand Jagtiani and Sh. S.K.Patil of IRS (IDT) OA.

Sh. R. Manimohan, Sh. Tirthankar Pyne, Sh. Virender Thakur, Sh. Shishir Agnihotri and Shri. Ajit Kumar K.G of AIACEGEO.

Sh. Mahesh Kalar, Sh. Manoj Yadav, Sh. Laxman Chaurasia and Sh. Kumar Rahul of the AICEIA.

Smt. Varsha Kolhatk, President, IRS (IDT) OA, Sh. B.A.Chakravarthy, Secretary General,  IRS (IDT) OA, Sh. Sanjay Srinivasan, President, AIACEGEO, Sh. R.P.Singh, President, AICEIA & Sh. Anuvuthi Chatterjee, Secretary General, AICEIA as ex-officio permanent invitees.

The next meeting of the council will decide on the future course of action.
